ISTBR: TARABUSTER – EP.17: Oh, the fake outrage of it all! Republicans are upset about a phony “war on Christmas” while their madness turns the world into a powder keg. Forget “Peace on Earth.” With Republicans peddling their warmongering, Orwellian, “peace through strength,” we are sure to be in perpetual war for generations. The USA spends more for its war machine than the next 8 largest nations COMBINED. How much “peace through strength” can we stand until we blow ourselves up?
As General Smedley Butler said, “War is a racket. It always has been… A few profit – and the many pay. But there is a way to stop it. You can’t end it by disarmament conferences. You can’t eliminate it by peace parleys at Geneva. Well-meaning but impractical groups can’t wipe it out by resolutions. It can be smashed effectively only by taking the profit out of war.”
With Republicans in charge, expunging profit from war will never happen. After all, to Republicans, “profit” is the ONLY worthy American value.
